Brothers and sisters of the Labor Movement,
This year's Labor Day Festival is shaping up to be the best one yet.
To make it even better, the Festival is back at a newly remodeled and retooled Wright Park, smack in the heart of central Tacoma, just overlooking downtown. If you don't know quite how to get there, check out Mapquest here, or call 253-471-1123 and ask for directions.
America In Solidarity and the Healthy Washington Coalition invites the community to discuss the issues most important and pressing to them in reforming Washington’s health care system.
The Washington Health Care Caucus is an opportunity for community discussion of the challenges we are currently facing in health care and how we can start to achieve reform. It’s a chance to learn about the opportunities for reform that have been created by legislation passed in the 2008 legislative session and to make your voice heard on issues such as cost, access, and benefits.
The Healthy Washington Coalition promoted legislation that required the state to contract with an actuarial firm to analyze five health care reform proposals (Senate bill 6333, passed February 2008). The report from the actuarial firm will be completed by February 2009. Each proposal will be analyzed to determine if it provides the people of Washington State with access to high-quality health care services in the most efficient way possible.
