Brothers and sisters of the Labor Movement,
This year's Labor Day Festival is shaping up to be the best one yet.
To make it even better, the Festival is back at a newly remodeled and retooled Wright Park, smack in the heart of central Tacoma, just overlooking downtown. If you don't know quite how to get there, check out Mapquest here, or call 253-471-1123 and ask for directions.
This year's festival will be the best one yet. The National Association of Letter Carriers will be defending their title as Tug-of-War Champions against the IBEW and ILWU teams in our Annual All-Union Tug-of-War Tournament. We'll have free Barbecue, games for the kids, music, and a few short speeches, as well as all the camraderie and celebration you've grown to love over the past four years.
It's been a pretty major year for organized labor, around the country and right here in Pierce County. We know you deserve an opportunity to sit back, enjoy a good burger and have a good time with your fellow union brothers and sisters. You've earned it!
